![]() For a look at what other E3 2023 showcases you have to look forward to this summer, check out our E3 2023 schedule guide. So there you have it, that's everything you need to know about watching Xbox Games Showcase 2023 on June 11. Time will tell whether any of these unreleased games will eventually end up ranking in our best Xbox Series X games list. ![]() Generally, this is where Xbox finds itself leading up to the showcase, a lot of question marks over games that definitely need clarifications, release windows, and re-reveals. Similarly, there's Fable, which seems to have gone radio silent in recent years. Realistically, it's more likely that Bethesda will be focused on Starfield at present, but we can hope.Īvowed is the next RPG from Obsidian and is a project that is definitely due for a showing at an event such as this. That game was announced all the way back in 2018, so surely it's time for even the smallest of peaks at what it will be like when it does eventually come out. Given that Starfield is getting its own event following this one, there could be space for Bethesda to provide an update on The Elder Scrolls 6. Now onto some of the more elusive games in Xbox's lineup. It's a good bet that the game will finally get a date at the showcase. It had been planned for release in the first half of 2023 but got delayed to a wider 2023 window. Let's start with what's likely.įorza Motorsport will no doubt get an update at this event, the main question being whether it finally gets a release date. You see, Xbox has a ton of games that are in the works, but very few of them have concrete information surrounding them at present. I left for a while due to family stuff but I'm all good now.In terms of what games will be shown at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 event, things are a little bit murky at present. It's about time that I came back to the amino. We may have been too optimistic for E3 2018 to have Fable news, but I still hold out hope that E3 2019 will have some form of news about the Fable franchise. So E3 2018 would have been too early for the next game to be announced if they had only a rough draft of the story to work with. ![]() The smaller team of devs could have been writing the story until Forza was released, and then as Forza aged, Playground sends devs to work on their next big project. The next Fable game could have started development during this time, starting with it's story. That doesn't stop them from having a smaller team working on the rumored game to be in the works. Playground Games was still working on Forza Horizon 4 and that game was likely their main focus because E3 was only a few months before release and they needed as many developers working on the project as they could so the full game would have that nice polish. (All if this is just my hypothesis) (take with a grain of salt.) We were hyped that we would be getting a new Fable game but were let down when nothing about Fable was announced. Around the time that leak was going around, Peter Molyneux had spoken about his idea about how he would make the next Fable game (before the Guild was founded and when magic was more raw with power). So before E3 last year, I was really hyped about a leak that the studio that makes Forza was in the works with an open world rpg game. ![]()
